VicRoads Club Permit Scheme
The long awaited and revised VicRoads Club Permit Scheme (CPS) comes into effect on 1st February 2011. This revised CPS allows vehicles to be used at any time, for any purpose, up to 90 days per year. Financial members of an approved VicRoads authorised Club (eg. Capri Car Club Inc.) will be able to apply for either a 90 day or a 45 day permit. The CPS is available for all Classic and Historic vehicles which are more than 25 years of age before the time of application. As part of the CPS, a logbook will be issued to permit holders to record the daily use of the vehicle over the 12-month permit period. Various VicRoads fees will apply. Slimline number plates will be made available however, the suggested use of personal or custom number plates will not!
For new Capri Car Club members, there will be a 3 month probationary period before being eligible for access to this revised CPS.
